This guy didn't even know these people, they were just there.

So where did this happen? London? Liverpool? America?

No, this incident happened in my little town, not a big city with lots of nightclubs and occurences that are sadly, far too regular. This incident involved people I knew personally, people that my son knows, we could quite easily have been taking flowers to funerals instead of taking flowers to the hospital.

Knife crime is/has become so serious that even little backwaters like us are feeling the violence that emanates from the lack of sufficient detterants and laws to deal with the issue at hand. Youths carry knives and openly flaunt them, or they carry them hidden on thier person 'just in case' they should need them. The fact that the ones that carry them just in case are the ones that usually end up hurting someone does not seem to enter anyones head, well at least not the heads of the youths involved.

The one last night has been detained under the mental health act, does this make what he did any less serious? Does the fact that he has 'problems' mean that he is to be absolved rom all blame for what he did to those people, well probably, in the same way that drug users get away with commiting crimes, because they are classes as 'not responsible' for their actions. So if the people perpetraing the crime are not responsible then it is down to the Government to take that responsibility and to make it a priority to actually do something about knife crime instead of just discussing 'possible' ways of dealing with it, to make the laws that they are supposedly introducing count for something instead of using the same old softly softly approach that they normally use.

Perhaps then people wont have to worry about whether they should go for a night out or stay in, parents would not have to worry so much about their children going for a night out with their mates, and we aowuldn't be mourning so many wastes of so many young lives.

A gunman enters a dance class in a keep fit Gymn, turns out the lights and opens fire, finally turning the gun upon himself, this is a class full of women and only women, at the time of writing this the numbers are still unknown, some say five dead some say four, some say there were a 100 in the class some sat only 30, to be honest does it matter how many there were?

What matters is that once again someone has taken it upon themselves to play God and to take away the lives of others Mothers/Daughters/wives/sisters, what matters is that families in Bridgesville USA are this morning mourning the senseless taking of their loved ones lives, in a state of shock and asking the age old question 'Why?'

In July a 3 year old boy shot his brother after finding a gun under a bed, luckily the young boy survived, unlike the 5 year old that shot and killed himself in his fathers car in Las vegas after finding a gun in the glove compartment, also in June an 11 year old boy shot and killed his nine year old brother in a row over a video game, the police have deemd this as an accident as the boys were struggling over the gun and it 'went off' they have deemed that the shotgun was too heavy and long for the boy to lift and shoot.

The point of the matter is that the guns were there for the children in those incidents to find and use. And yes this is America where licenced guns are allowed in the family home. But how long is it going to be before this kind of thing is the daily report here? Already we have had reports of Children being shot some fatally, some have survived.

Guns are available in this country, criminals have been using them since time immimorial, look at the Krays for just one example and that was as far back as the sixties. Our law enforcement is unarmed for the most part with only specialist units having weapons, but how long before the police walking our streets will be wearing sidearms? The criminals use firearms more and more, robberies being reported are often reported as the criminals having shotguns, there will come a time when the gun laws will change will we become America?

Let us hope that this does not happen, let us hope instead that the Authorities in this country clamp down on the import and sale of illegal weapons, let us hope that the sale of Guns and the criteria for selling and buying them is tightened to a degree that makes it hard for them to be bought and sold.

If this does not happen then the reports from above will become the reports that we see on our breakfast news, and it will be our children and our sisters and mothers and daughters that we are mourning.

The latest item to come from this is the announcement that all expenses will now be governed by an independant body, and if refused there is no right to appeal.

Now I dont know about you, but I feel that the fact that we, the tax payer has to pay for that very expensive second home, and it's upkeep a tad sickening, especially when a lot of us struggle to maintain the ordinary mortgage/rent, so they need somewhere to stay through the week when they are in London, would it not be more economical to the tax payer to have a block of apartments for this? MP's could then rent their second homes at a budget rent, saving the tax payer thousands, Yes the MP's may object to not having the luxury of a five bedroom house with acres of garden space, but after all this is only their second residence and it should be treated as an interim not a permanent place.

What I find even more annoying, and that is putting it mildly is the fact that MP's have their council tax paid! Now we all have to pay this outdated government taxation, and for many of us it is a struggle, for even more it has resulted in court hearings because you dared to miss a payment, to learn that those that can afford to pay it are actually having it paid by us, as well as us having to pay our own, makes you want to tell the Prime minister and his lackies just where they can put it!

Gordon Brown needs to do more than just overhaul the way that expenses are claimed, he needs to take a serious look at what is being claimed, why should we have to pay for Council tax and mortgage interest on second properties because we work hard to try and maintain what little we ourselves have? Do you want to vote someone into Government knowing that you are going to pay to keep them in luxury for the next five years, while you struggle to maintain a decent standard of living?

Will it be surprising if even less people turn out to vote now than did before?

Whats your opinion on what the MP's should and should not be allowed?

All four died in the resulting explosion and fire despite police efforts to rescue them, they had driven into the side of the building where the gas main was situated.

The police were in tears after pulling one young man from the wreck and failing to revive him, witmnesses say that despite the heat and the flames they pulled fire extinguishers from their cars and attempted to get to the ones remaining in the car.

Some of them had witnessed the crash and the explosion as they had been attempting to pursue the car and its occupants.

The police have been cleared of any blame as the police video footage shows that they were at a 'safe' distance from the vehicle as they were in a built up area and reports of a rolling road block being used to try and stop the car has been denied.

I am not here to blame the police for their actions, a car was stolen and had been driven at high speed through estates and was potentialy a danger to all the people that lived there, they had a job to do and were trying to do it without endangering lives anymore than the car was already doing.

However, there are four sets of parents out there today that are going to be looking to lay the blame at someones door, two weeks before Christmas they have lost their sons, they will be grieving and in shock, and they will be asking the eternal question, Why?

We live in a blame society, someone has to be responsible for all the things that happen, no one is satisfied with the explanation that a sequence of events unfolded and resulted in a tragedy.

So who is to blame?

The guy whose car they stole for having a fast and flashy car (Subaru Impreza)?

The boys for stealing it?

The parents for having failed to instill moral values into their children, for not knowing what they were doing or where they were in the early hours of the morning?

The Police for doing their jobs?

The guy who owned the fish and chip shop for having chosen that site to have it on?

The Government for having laws that they could break?

A society where it is cool to be in a gang where you have to show how daring you are, cool to be bad, cool to be seen with those that are?

The fact is that there is no one to blame for what happened, a sequence of events began with the theft of a high powered car, young boys that believed they could control it, that wanted to feel powerful for a while and have the thrill of being able to tell all that they outran the police, that they were the top guns.

It ended when they could not control the car and tragically hit the wrong side of the building, the side where the gas main was installed.

The guy who owned the shop was only interested in how the parents would be feeling, though he is going to lose a lot of money while he is closed, and that will be a long time as you can see from the picture of the building. That is all anyone said that was interviewed, our hearts go out to the parents.

And so does mine, for whatever their sons were or were not, whatever they did, however they were raised they did not deserve for it to end like this.

Our thoughts are with them at this time, for right now each one of them will be blaming themselves.

 Comments

Stand up for Children

The case of Baby P has been widely published, and the perpetrators brought to a semblence of justice. Of course that will not bring Baby P back or make up for the suffering and pain he lived through in his short little life.

Questions have been asked in parliment no less, after it emerged that the Government had been alerted to the failure of the child services to look after this child before his little back was broken and long before he died. As usual the plea was shrugged off with sort it out locally.

It is my belief that whoever made that decision should be publically named and shamed, surely if they had been alerted it meant that it could not be dealt with locally? That someone felt that the only chance that this child had was for the Government, supposedly the protector of the people, to step in and make something happen? It seems our esteemed ministers, secretaries, MP's have better things to do than actually help the people that they are supposed to be serving. Wonder if the bar had been open early that day?

It is a sad state of affairs when even the police are ignored in their concern for the babies welfare. Does not the fact that they repeatedly asked when the time would be right for a care order alert you to the fact that you are obviously missing something? Or was it a case of ruffled feathers, you know the 'We are the experts not you' kind of thing? Clearly they were not, and once again a child has died because of the lack of care from Social Services.

I know that these people are overworked and short staffed most of the time, but it is a sad excuse for yet another mess up that resulted in another childs death.

At least 47 Children under five die every year due to Parental or main carer abuse, that does not include the many that live through the abuse to grow up and possibly repeat the cycle.

As a parent I know the frustrations of having a crying baby in the house, most of us though take that frustration out on something else, the cleaning, the gardening, the husband.

Is it not time as decent Human beings that we stopped passing it by? That we stopped thinking it was 'their business' and we should not interfere? This is why we have child protection, this is why we have the NSPCC, because there are people out there that treat children like possesions, objects that they can use and abuse as they please. It is time we, the 'decent' people showed them that children have a right to a decent life, they have a right to be fed and loved and looked after properly, they didnt ask to be brought into the world, it is not their fault they are hungry or cold or lonely.

Stand up for the rights of children and if you see abuse then report it, if you suspect there is abuse, look into it, you may be wrong, but on the other hand you may just save a childs life.

It may not hurt you as you go to sleep with your tablet laden body never to move again, and you may not feel the pain of the noose around your neck or the fall from the building or cliff.

But those left behind will feel that pain for the rest of their lives, those left behind will not have the grace of death to blot out the nastiness or the recriminations.

Those left behind,
I wonder

have you actually thought about them at all?

Let me show you what you leave behind you, before you make that final decision, let me show you the havoc your final decision creates in the world you have decided no longer deserves your presence.

Your wife/girlfriend/husband/boyfriend/parents, will always wonder why you did not go to them, why they could not help, what could they have done to prevent it, why they did not manage to be there to stop it. Why you did not love them enough to let them in, where they failed.

Your children/siblings, Will always wonder what they did to make you leave them, what they could have done to prevent it, why they could not be there to stop it, why you did not love them enough to let them in, will they end up the same way

Yout friends, will always wonder, why you did not go to them, why you would not let them in, why they could not help, why were they not there with you, to stop you, where did they go wrong.

Of these people some of them will hate you for what you have done, for a long time, though underneath they will always love you.

For most of them you will leave a lifetime of self doubt and a feeling of being unable to come to terms with what has happened.

Before you take that final step and make that ultimate decision, think.

Think hard

How would you feel if you were one of those left behind?

And dont use the excuse that they are better off, that you are doing it for them, because to be true to them and show them how much you really do care, you would stay and not take that final step, you would show them by being there and doing your best to make things right, and by letting them help you to do it.

you are never alone, though you think you are, because there is always someone left behind, so how can you be alone?

It is never easy to face your demons, your shortcomings, your adversary, but, you can always ask for help.

A whole life in front of you and a whole world of adventures to discover, why throw it away when it is just round the corner?

Please think again.

*A high number of suicides have been recorded over the past twelve months and this piece is to let anyone out there considering this acttion know of the devastation that their actions bringP

The crimes span six years between these three, and we have to ask the question, is it not time that this country had sentences that match the crime?

This is not a debate about Capital Punishment, though it has been proven that it can be a useful detterent it has also been proven that once having killed, even accidently a killer will decide that he has nothing to lose by doing it again as you can only die once.

This is about the ludicrous sentencing system in this country that means a Judge has to specify the amount of years that a killer has to serve, sentencing them to life does not work here as they would be out in a matter of a few years. Is it not time that 'life' sentences in this country matched those of the country the killers try to emulate?

In America 'life without parole' means just that, the only way you leave is in a box, not seven years later having had your sentence automatically halved the minute you enter the prison gates, and then get another half wiped off for 'good' behaviour!

These three hopefully will not walk out the gates in that time, no less than thirty five years for at least one of them, and it may be that he will never walk out, but there is also the chance that he will, how old will he be, seventies? Can you honestly say that even at that age they are not capable of carrying out a murder or of, even worse, training someone else how to do it? And yes there are people out there that will write to these people and beg them for pointers in their crimes!

We live in a world where Human life seems to be a throw away commodity, is it not time to say enough, and to place a proper value even if it is only in terms of sentencing, upon the lives of those unfortunate enough to cross paths with those that think it is their right to take what is not theirs, a life.

A 14 year old boy is this afternoon 'Comfortable' in Hospital after being stabbed in his classroom by a 13 year old student. The incident happened at Allerton Grange School in Leeds and kind of makes a mockery of the wording used by the head teacher in his school prospectus

He wrote: "Our aim is that your child is safe, is taught well and is encouraged to develop his/her skills and talents as a responsible member of the school and the wider community. We may be a large school, but your child will be known by the staff whose job it is to look after them while they are here."

Hmmmm, try telling the 14 year old boy's Mother and Father that he is 'safe' at school!

How many more stabbings, beatings and kickings will it take before the people in charge of Education face the fact that we have a problem in our schools? Is it going to take a columbine tragedy? Is one of our students going to have to get a gun and shoot down his fellow classmates and teachers before this problem is addressed?

School should be a safe place to send your children, it is no longer a safe place, not when your child ends up in hospital with stab wounds, and using statistics to say that the amount of stabbings, beatings and kickings are neglible to the amount of children attending school is a cop out, one child in hospital is one child too many!

It is time that this problem was dealt with instead of being swept under the carpet!

A faulty boiler explodes and a child dies, not the first even of this kind but surely it should be the last?

The first night in a new house, supplied by the council and this tragedy occurs, but who is responsible for what happened? Had the parents been aware of the dangers of this type of boiler blowing up and raining scalding hot water on their chid it is safe to say that they would not have placed the child in that room in that place, perhaps even refused to move in to the house until it was replaced.

This was a council property, was this their responsibility, especially in the light of the same thing happening four years ago? Surely when a tenant moves out and they take the proerty back then they should check all equipment and replace what needs replacing? They do in my district, well most of the time anyway.

They had knowledge of this happening before, should they have replaced all the boilers of this kind that were in their proerties in order to prevent such a thing happening again instead of keeping quiet about what had happened?

Are the boiler manufacturers at fault for having faulty thermostats? But that would only apply had they been made in this country where they have to pass rigourus tests to obtain the seal of approval.

Personally I believe that the Council should carry the blame for this one for two reasons, one not advising or making it publicly known that these particular types of boliers have a danger of blowing up and two, for not replacing them in the properties that they own and rent out to young couples with young children.

As the courts have so rightly declared, this was an accident waiting to happen that could have been avoided.

Those boys are now living in another country with new names and a new life.

History has taught us that children can and do commit horrific crimes, and not just the juvenile and petty things we associate with our young ones.

That is until now, the Bulger case opened a debate on whether young children could be tried in a manner that befit the crime. We have seen over the past few years people that we call children commiting what we class as Adult crimes, namely rape and murder.

The time when children would run if you mentioned telling their parents or if they saw a police iniform has long gone, nowadays they stand and swear at you, throw things at you physically attack you.

We have passed laws that have virtually made these children untouchable, they are not scared what have they to fear? they are minors, they can go out and knife the kid down the road because he said something they didnt like and know that they will probably do community service for it.

Children know they can do wrong and get away with it, and if they know this then surely they know the difference between right and wrong?

In which case they know what they are doing when they take that knife or that gun and use it to take anothers life.

If a child knowingly commits an adult crime, should that child be tried as an adult?

 Comments

We could, but, we are busy!

We all have seen the increasing and alarming amount of knife crimes, some of us even have friends ho have had their children attacked and are increasingly frustrated at their inability to protect their children from harm when they are simply playing with friends or going to the take away.

My frustration has been mainly in my inability to help these people, my friends, and put their mind at ease. I say things like the police will deal with it, and that eventually they will get on top of things. Until today I believed that this is what would happen.

Today I took my bin liner out and went to place it in the bin, there sat in the bottom is a very large knife, I didnt place it there and it had to have been put there after thursday when the bin men came.

As any concerned citizen would I called the police to inform them of my find.

The conversation went something like this

Me: I thought I had better call as I have just found a rather large knife in my dustbin
Police: Oh!
Me: Just in case you know there was anything outstanding on your files?
Police: Which number did you call?
Me: Erm this number, the local station xxxxxx
Police:Oh!
Me: Erm the knife?
Police: Oh yes, well we have nothing outstanding on knives, whats it like?
Me: Very large, like a butchers knife
Police: Oh, well, I could send some one to get it but we are rather busy.
Me: So someone putting a very large knife in my bin over the last few days is of no consequence then?
Police: Well no, you were right to report it and if it is really bothering you I will get someone to dispose of it, but it could be a few days.
Me: No, I wouldn't want to put you out, I have covered it and will get someone to dispose of it, I just wanted to make sure I did the right thing.
Police: Yes you did
Me: Right thank you good afternoon

I dont know if any of you noticed the missing parts of that conversation? For those of you that did, well done, correct he did not take either my name or my address, nor did he ask me for my number which is always withheld!

If they suddenly discover that there is an outstanding knife crime from another district he will not know where to go.

I admit the knife didnt look as if it had been used, but I didnt get that close to it, but that is irrelevant, someone had obviousely intended to use it at some point.

It is no wonder that knife crime is rife when the police are too busy to care!

I like many others probably, watched extreme skinny celebrities last night on Living TV, I have watched it before it doesn't interest me what the rich do with their bodies.

However I was doing research for an article I was doing on eating disorders, and yes I know it is an old topic, but, it is one that is once again becoming the centre of attention.

When this is classed as beautiful

This is the consequence

The top picture is Mary Kate Olsen, one half of the famous Olsen twins that teenagers the world over wish to emulate. Mary Kates, once lovely teenage face is now nothing but cheek bones covered in a thin skin, the bones all down her spine can plainly be seen, her arms are like sticks. And this is what young girls are emulating all over the world. As the second picture clearly shows, the face has been removed to protect the young lady.

It isn't bad enough that the females and males that our young, and our not so young wish to be like are killing themselves in the name of Fame, but that these young people that believe they are ugly if they are bigger than a british size eight, are joining sites that actively promote thier eating disorders, sites that actually tell them they are ugly, if they are a size 10.

Sites that believe this

Is what beauty looks like.

I read the comments from girls of twelve and thirteen, threatening to kill themselves if they could not lose weight and get down to the perfect size 6, thats an American size six, which is a size less than our british one.

My heart goes out to these girls and boys, I have been there, I have friends who are Bulimic and Anorexic. It is a daily battle to disregard what we see when we look in the mirror, it is a battle to make sure that you eat, the correct amounts, but it is a battle I am glad I found the strength to fight. Had I not I would not be here now.

I have lingering effects from the illness, Osteoporosis is one, I am one of the lucky ones that recognised what was happening to me and did something about it, despite being told I was a fat cow, when I reached a size 10. I battled on and though like alcoholism, you have to resist that temtation to slide, I am finding the battle is not as hard as it was at the beginning.

But, the young do not want to listen because beauty is being a size zero, with death just around the corner, is it really worth it?

 Comments

Is this how it is done then?

Is this the new parenting rules? I was actually amazed these people didnt get sentenced?

Toddler fight family spared jail

Carole Olver told police she was 'toughening up' the children
A mother who goaded her two toddlers to fight each other on video camera has received a 12-month suspended sentence, along with her mother and two sisters.
Zara Olver, 21, her 48-year-old mother Carole, and sisters Serenza Olver, 29, and Danielle Olver, 19, all admitted child cruelty at Plymouth Crown Court.

In the footage, a boy in a nappy was called a "wimp" for not hitting his sister back after she struck him.

The women are heard laughing as the children are urged to fight.

The footage was found by chance by the toddlers' father who was on Army leave.

Anyone watching this footage... would have been sickened and saddened

Det Sgt Barry Walters

The boy, aged two, is seen crying after being punched in the face by his three-year-old sister and is told by one of the four women in the room "not to be a wimp or a faggot" and to hit the girl back.

The court heard that, when interviewed by police, Carole Olver said: "I didn't see any harm in toughening them up - I done the same with my own children."

Zara Olver pleaded guilty to causing or procuring the children to be ill treated in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering or injury.

The women were told they posed no risk to society
Her mother and sisters pleaded guilty to jointly inciting the ill treatment of children.

Judge Francis Gilbert gave all four women, from North Prospect in Plymouth, a one-year suspended sentence, saying they posed no risk to the public.

He also ordered the four to do 100 hours of unpaid work and banned them from working with children.

The children, who cannot be named for legal reasons, are in the care of the parents of their father.

The case came to court after the father returned from a posting in Iraq and found the images on a video camera.

He reported the matter to social services in Plymouth who alerted the police's child protection unit.

Prosecutor David Gittins told the court that the father described the footage to police as being "like a dog fight".

"He was reduced to tears," Mr Gittins said.

"What he saw was not two children playing, but an eight-minute film of them being forced to fight."

Speaking after the case, investigating officer Det Sgt Barry Walters said: "Anyone watching this footage showing grown adults encouraging very young children committing unnatural acts would have been sickened and saddened.

"We have been in touch with child protection teams across the country and to my knowledge this is the first time that something like this has ever gone to court."

Michelle Elliott, director of children's charity Kidscape, said: "Quite frankly if there was an offence that deserved even 12 months in prison this was it.

"What they've done is send a message that this isn't a very serious thing and they've walked free. I think most people are outraged by that."

Carol Oliver said she was toughening up the children

Women said to 'not pose a threat to society'

So you bring your children up to use their fists and anything they can get hold of to win an argument, you let them think that this is the right way to behave and thats not a threat to society??

Someone somewhere wants parenting lessons! ?

The shootings in America, another episode in the wrangle of the gun laws, another mass killing spree, another gunman in the history books. Eight years after the worst high school massacre in columbine where 15 students died. This one surpasses that with a toll of at least thirty (dependant upon which news you read/watch) the question is not why did he do this, I am sure they will have a dozen psychologists/Psychiatrists picking apart his home life and his relationships and telling you how he came to do what he did.

The question is how, how did he manage to gun down two people and then two hours later massacre another 30? Why was the campus not closed? Why was he not being sought? Why were there not already police there?

The excuse it appeared to be a domestic, does not hold water folks. Have you learned nothing over these past eight to ten years? You have a volatile situation where an obviously dangerous, disturbed perpetrator has a gun or two, on a student campus, and you dont close it down?

It appears to be a domestic, what you knew that for certain? Have you become so innured to this kind of thing that 'it appears to be a domestic' is treated in the same way as oh I seem to have cut my finger?

Has the fact that others have killed their families and then go on to murder in a mass frenzie as the two teenagers did eight yers ago in Columbine, not entered the equation at all? Did you learn nothing from that?

The problem is will the questions be answered? The survivors of this weeks murders are asking them, but are the authorities asking them?

In my opinion this killing spree could have been prevented, less people would have died, less parents would now be mourning, if the authorities had looked to the lessons of the past instead of shrugging it off as 'Only a domestic'

 Comments

The right to Life vs The right to choose

We all know about Abortion, some of us will be Pro and some will be Anti, it is one of the few topics that just about everyone has an opinion on.

The opinion is usually formed through religious reasons, personal viewpoint and/or experience, upbringing, informed knowledge? There are many reasons why people take the stance they do.

Once Abortion was illegal, it was seen as murder, the taking of a Human life. So what changed?

Lets look at some facts

In 1803 Abortion carried the death penalty if they were carried out after the Quickening 16-20 weeks,at that time this is when movement is thought to begin.

in 1837 they removed the distinction between the before and after 'Quickening' making all abortion illegal

In 1861 this was changed to Life Imprisonment but was extended to include the person who carried out the Abortion as well as the mother

In 1929 the law was once again changed, due to there being cases of the need for Abortion due to medical reasons, this had to be done before 28 weeks. However the law wasn't clear on whether it was legal to abort for other reasons, the Foetus was at this time classed as viable at 28 weeks.

1936: The Abortion Law Reform Association (ALRA) was established; its aim was to campaign for the legalisation of abortion.

1938: Dr. Alex Bourne was acquitted of having performed an illegal abortion. This set a case-law precedent.
He had performed an abortion on a fourteen year old who had been gang raped and was suicidal. Thus the law was changed again to allow for mental and medical abortions.

The law went on being challenged throughout the 50's and into the sixties, and in 1967 the Abortion Act came into being legalising abortiion under certains conditions it came into effect in 1968.

The time limit still stood at 28 weeks until 1990 when the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act came into force and it was then lowered to 24 weeks.

However the controversy still rages about when a Foetus is considered to be a living being, hence the Anti-abortionists who claim that it is murder at any time as once the egg is fertilised it is a living being.

One of the main reasons that Abortion became legal, was to save lives. Having laws preventing it did not prevent pregnancies, back street abortionists and self abortions killed many women through things such as Septicimia, haemorrhaging, lead poisoning (This was caused by an apprent menstrual blocking potion that was lead based) women were blinded and mutilated by back street abortionists and potions.

There were 46 million abortions last year, that is approximately 126,000 per day.

Only 22% of those were carried out in developed countries, 78% in countries that are developing.

26 million women obtain legal abortions per year, 20 million are carried out in places where it is restricted or prohibited by law.

The ages of people having abortions 52% are younger than 25
32% 20-24
20% Teenagers
1.2% Girls under 15.

93% of Abortions occur for social reasons i.e. It is inconveniant or unwanted.

One of the main arguments for Anti abortionists after the life issue is that of rights, namely the fathers, basically he doesn't have any. He has no say over the life or death of the Foetus, the argument being that it is not his body that has to incubate the foetus and until it is born it is the sole right of the carrier to make the decisions.

Now it is over to you, should abortion be so easy to access?

Should there be more stringent guidelines?

Should the Father have the right to have a say?

What is your opinion on the subject?

When that song first came out, in 1974, released from the TV series M.A.S.H. there were outcries around the world, this song was linked with the sudden rise in Suicides amongst young people all over the world.

When the outcry died down, and the actual figures were added up there had been a very slight rise in suicides that year, probably due to the fact that some suicides had previously been classed as accidental death.

Now there appears to be an ever-growing trend of Internet pact suicides, we have all read of the man that killed himself on Web cam, urged on by chat room users. Did they really believe he would do it? Did they think he was just having a bit of fun? Whatever they thought, are they partly responsible?

The responsibility lies with the person committing the act; they didn’t help by egging him on instead of trying to talk him out of it. This was a grown man, an Adult, who needed help, maybe he didn’t mean it to go that far, many suicides are cries for help that are answered too late.

By far more worrying are the growing number of young people that are logging on to Internet sites that are designed to help you to commit suicide, as the parents of one young man found hanged in his wardrobe at home, discovered, a bright straight A student. Logging on to sites that tell you the best way to commit suicide and urge you to ‘Get it Right’?

Trawling the sites so that I could have a valid insight into what these young people were actually reading, what they were being told, by ‘counsellors’ has to have been one of the most depressing things that I have done, and appalling.

This is one of the worst that I came across.

Church of Euthanasia
The One Commandment:"Thou shalt not procreate"The Four Pillars:suicide · abortion cannibalism · sodomy
Human Population:

I am not going to place its contents here for I have no intentions of advertising its wares, suffice it to say where it says Human Population is a clock which is supposedly counting the population, I am presuming the clock drops one each time there is a suicide, I didn’t hang around to see.

I once believed that suicide was a cowardly act, that the people that did this were too weak to face life and all its ups and downs. Mostly it is an act brought about by desperation, for many reasons but usually through depression brought about by circumstances, some of which you cant control.

There are those that use it as a tool, to get others to do as they wish, but on the whole people that commit suicide generally see it as the only way out of a situation they can no longer live with.

I still believe it is selfish in the main, as suicide is so much harder to come to terms with for those left behind than even a murder would be. And even harder for parents of young people who have not even started out on life’s path properly, it is a fact that exam time is very depressing for many young people. And websites like the one above feed on this, encouraging them to leave everything and everyone behind, with no thought and little regard for the people left behind.

While I am a believer in free speech, I am wondering if maybe the concept has not been taken too far, when places like this are allowed to operate? I know that if a person wants to commit this act they will do so, but to actively encourage young people to join pacts, so they wont be ‘doing it alone’ to actively feed on their fears and their confusion, is this not morally if not legally wrong?

But there will be Mothers crying today. Mothers that last weekend expected to be spending today with their children, laughing, joking celebrating their day with cards and gifts, that now they wont recieve.

In the past week there have been three men murdered in Manchester, in seperate incidents. And three 18 year olds lie in hospitl, two critical one stable. On last nights news, I watched as a Mother weeped for her young son, the victim of a brutal stabbing.

Knife crime it seems is one of the biggest growing areas of violent crime. Last year alone there were 13,000 crimes reported that were knife related.

The Goverment are going to try to bring in tougher sentences for breaking the law relating to knife carrying. The problem is that this law only relates to knives over a certain blade length?

Is it not time to bring in other laws to protect the innocent against this sort of crime. I know its fun to carry around a pocket/pen knife when you are young, with its many little appendages. Not so much fun when that knife, or ones like it are used to maim and kill!

It is time to change amend the law to not just give the perpertrator a tougher sentence, but to remove or at least curb the ease with which these knives are purchased.

I know that there will still be knife crime as there is still gun crime, as knives can be taken from the home. But these are harder to conceal and if the penalty for carrying them was tough enough maybe it would make these people think twice.

Just maybe, with new laws to combat knife crime there will be less Mothers weeping next Mothers day.

One involving a Teacher ( Sorry Ceej) we know not all teachers are like this and the majority are just people doing a very difficult job, made all the harder by headlines like this.

....Teacher jailed after conviction for sex offences with schoolgirls.....

What makes this one stand out more than all the other headlines of this nature? It is only a year ago that another teacher in the same school was jailed for four years for the same thing!
It must be the water?

And following on the heels of this another headline

....Parents jailed for torturing disabled girl....

"Harte and Duncan had poured boiling water on their daughter's hands, tore clumps of hair from her head and kicked her repeatedly in the groin, causing horrendous bruises and liver damage. The girl, who has cerebral palsy, was also forced to sleep naked in a dark toilet and eat her own faeces."

"She was in almost constant agony until her grandmother began to suspect what was going on and called in social services. They, together with police, arrived just in time. She had suffered such horrific injuries that she would almost certainly have died without treatment and was in such pain she had to be examined under general anaesthetic. A paediatric registrar described her injuries as the worst abuse he had ever seen."

Apparently it was the Mother who was the worst abuser here, despite the defence trying to make out she was under the influence of her partner.

Now I may be a tad naive here, but it seems to me that there is something very wrong in a world where a child is returned to abusive parents by the social services, two teachers in one year from the same school are convicted of the same crimes, and a baby is sexually assaulted and murdered in her own home, while her parents are downstairs??

What hope is there for our future when we cannot protect our futures hopes, the Children??

The policeman died after rioters threw an explosive device into his car, last weekend an official died after being kicked to death while trying to stop rioting in another match.

This is the unacceptable face of Football, Italy are still reeling from the events of last year when several clubs were relegated to a lower division for offences connected with fraud, they then shook off this off and went on to win the World Cup.

This latest fiasco could spell the end of football in Italy, the Italian Government are having an emergency meeting on Monday to decide what to do,but they hve already declared that football is a game people should enjoy, it should not be one of life and death.

How many of you remember the riots of the seventies and early eighties that brought about the segregation that we see now? The fences and the barriers that inevitably led to disaster, most notably the Hillsborough one in which 96 fans lost their lives.

English football fans have settled down I have been told, they are lot more well behaved especially when they travel abroad?

Well I am sorry, I love football, I like nothing better than to watch my team play. But I dont believe that throwing coins/bottles/missiles at players is 'Settling down', I dont believe that running amock in the town that you visit and trashing pubs and parks, is settling down, and yes it is still happening, though thankfully not as frequently as it was.

We were lucky that what is happening in Italy did not happen here, and we need to ensure that it never does, or there may come a time when our grandchildren will have no football matches to attend.

 Comments

No Jail for criminals, what a joke!

We already know how ridiculous the sentencing is in this country compared to others, we have debated the sometimes unbelieveable stupidity and insensitivity of the so called British Justice system.

Not long ago we debated the Judge that let off a drink driver who killed one person and crippled for life another, because he felt he had suffered enough?

Now apparently the Government in their wisdom have asked Judges to sentence only the most dangerous criminals.

Apparently this is due to the fact that the prison population is set to reach the 80,000 mark, which is maximum capacity. The reason for this is apparently tougher sentencing policies that meant more violent and persistent offenders were behind bars.

Whoa, wait a minute, tougher policies? Do these tough policies include setting free people that kill and maim, despite having been prosecuted for speeding three times before? Is that not persistant enough?
I digress, Home Secretary Reid said prisons were "an expensive resource" that should be used to protect the public and rehabilitate inmates.

"However, we should not be squandering taxpayers' money to monitor non-dangerous and less serious offenders," he said.

"Offenders should be paying back to the community through enforced work, payback and community service, thus saving taxpayers the cost of prison places and the council tax payer the expense of further clean-up," he added.

But the Prison Reform Trust (PRT) said the government was guilty of "criminal negligence" to have let prisons reach capacity without intervening earlier.

"Ministers are right to call at last for jails to be used more sparingly, not because they are full to bursting, but because the government's own scaremongering tactics have blocked prison beds with petty offenders, vulnerable women and children, addicts and the mentally ill," said PRT Director Juliet Lyon.

Now the way I see it is this, for years these arguments have been raging, are we saying that women who commit crimes should not be jailed? Children should be slapped on the hand and told not to be naughty? Addicts should be allowed to get away with crime because they are addicts? And the mentally ill should they not be in mental institutions, would that not free up some more places?

Are we supposed to just let them all off with community service and a fine? The Howard League for Penal Reform seem to think that this will stop reoffending, so a nice little fine and a few hours tidying gardens or working for people for nothing for a few weeks is going to stop these people from commiting another crime, when you have just more or less told them they are getting away with it?

They are going to erect a temporary holding Jail, in good old Merseyside, what has Merseyside done to deserve that honour I wonder?

So the answer to the crime in this country, where criminals laugh at the words British Justice System, and victims and their families despair of actually getting any, is to make it even more of a mockery by not sentencing criminals, in that case we may just as well give them the keys to the house/car and invite them to do as they please.

 Comments

Slimming diseases Vs The Media

I know I have spoken about this before, but it is a problem that is not going to go away, and especially now when the papers, magazines and TV are full of talk of dieting to look gorgeous, skinny celebrities, and who looks better than who.

The fact is that once again Bulimia and Anorexia are on the rise, young girls watching programs such as Skinniest Celebrity, Americas next top Model ( Where they actually told someone she was too skinny and told someone else she was too fat! ) Britains next top model, Extreme make over. It goes on.

Magazines and papers are full of diets to help you lose those pounds that you gained over Christmas, and while we can sit back and say thats normal at this time of year, the girls and boys, women and men that suffer from these slimming diseases dont see it as normal. They think they must have gained weight because everyone does over christmas, why else would there be so many diets?

How much is the Media to blame for keeping these images emblazoned before the eyes of ordianry people that want to be like their idols, or just want to be thin because thin is acceptable and fat isn't? Well to be fair it isn't all down to the Media really, while they may be the ones that print this stuff and report on it, if it wasn't for Models and Actors and singing stars, they would have nothing to print!

This time of year is agony to those that suffer from these diseases, anytime of year is bad, but just after christmas and the onset of summer are the worst times. The times when you are reminded that you are not perfect in proportion, when your body leaves a lot to be desired, when you believe yourself to be ugly and fat and very undesirable.
When the mirror becomes the enemy and the fight to stay a step ahead of whatever it is you suffer from becomes a lot harder than it was before.

All you see tells you that the desirable person is the one on the front of the magazine, or on the screen in front of you. Look at the Models on Americas next Top Model and see, the girl that won last years, and the year before, what message does that send out, even though they sent a Model home in one series for making herself sick after eating, so she didnt gain any weight. The explanation given was that they wouldn't tolerate the mocking of such a grave illness, but then go on in a later series to reject someone because she is not thin enough?

And it is not just programmes like these but also programs like Fat Club, and documentaries about obesity, showing that in our society it is not OK, to be big. I am pleased to say that there have been some programs that are all about big is beautiful, and even a modelling agency and lines of clothes that support this. But the fact is, your movie stars and your Models and your singers are not big, and at this moment in time the battle is on to see who can be the thinnest?

You are who you are, your body will be what it is meant to be, if you look after it, it will serve you well, the you that counts is the one inside. These are the arguments that are used constantly to try to help Bulimics and Anorexics, and though they are true, the eye of the beholder cannot see it. And with papers, magazines, Internet and TV full of who has had what done, and which diet is best to look beautiful, you can see why the message seems to get lost in the translation.

I have friends of all ages and races and colours and I am proud of who they are too, as they are.

Yet if I dislike a person, usually because they may not be a nice person or because they may have done something wrong to me or mine,or I disagree with someone over what they have said, usually because I have a different viewpoint, as long as that person is white and the same gender as me that is fine, but let them be different in any way, and the labels come out.

If their skin is a different colour or they originate from a different country, I am labelled a racist, if they are male I am labelled a man-hater, if they are Gay I am labelled a Homophobic, if they are narrow minded, intolerant people, I am labelled a liberal, if they are supposed liberals I am labelled narrow minded?

I am glad to say that not all people are like this, most of the people I know are tolerant, free thinking, open minded people. But dont you just detest labels?

My problm is I dislike injustice and narrowmindedness, and I know that even I have things that I am not tolerant of, such as Paedophilia, and petted little things like stuff not being put back in the right place, people not cleaning up after themselves, assistants that think they know it all after only two weeks, being labelled.

Why do we label people? Perhaps it is because we like to have them sorted in the filing cabinets in the vast caverns of our minds, so when we meet them we can open the drawer labelled, narrow minded bigot, " Oh yes there they are!", does it make them easier to find in the memory?

Does labelling categorise and seperate all your friends, so you dont invite the narrow-minded bigot and the gay to the same dinner party? I would invite them anyway.

I had a friend who labelled himself as a racist, but his best friend was an east Indian, they had been friends for twenty odd years, they would have given their lives for each other, they looked after each others children, hosted dinner parties together, even went into business together. It took me a while but I finally got it through to him that he could not be a racist or that man who he classed as his best friend would never have got through the door!

It wasn't the race or the people that he riled against, but what he saw as an erosion of his countries beliefs, their traditions. Colour and race actually had nothing to do with it in the end.

I like the things that I buy to be labelled, because lets face it short of having see through cans, its the only way to know what you are buying, but the only label I want my friends to wear are the ones on their clothing.

For some, it is a continuous battle, trying to find the places that encourage and condone this kind of behaviour. I am not talking about child pornography sites, I am not talking about the films that are out there, the people that feed on the perversions of others, for the most part are merely profiteerers, and would soon turn their talents to some other money making scheme were that one to fail.

I am talking about sites that ostensibly purport to be there to help these people and prevent them from actually commiting an offence against a child. And yes they do exist, I had a erm conversation, with a gentleman ( For want of a better word) that runs one of these sites. His argument is that if they have somewhere to go where there are like minded people and they can discuss their fantasies, obsessions, desires, they are less likely to actually carry them out?

This was his introduction to the site I erm 'met' him on

Hi, first off - I should say I am the admin of the above mentioned site (to comply with admin/moderators requests i will not link to anything therein), and I saw your address in the referral logs.Let me tell you what I'm not here for:I'm not here to start a debate on if pedophilia is legal, or any of that.I'm merely posting a reply to give you information on why my site is there, and what it does. You do not have to take my word for it, of course - but I offer this honestly, so it may benefit you.____Firstly, tkGL is a Community/Support site for Pedophiles who are sexually attracted to female children. It does not advocate having sex with children, nor does it advocate posession/distribution or creation of child pornography. We are Strongly opposed to all forms of child abuse, including sexual - you may find this like a cop out tryng to make ourselves look good. Well it wouldn't be a very good cop out - as it wouldn't work (would it?).Okay, I trust you are all sufficiently intelligent enough to realise pedophilia is not just going to "disappear", and also that Pedophilia without any actions is harmless to children. Pedophilia is an attraction, it does not imply action. Try if you can to imagine yourself say as a young teen again, but this time, finding yourself attracted to 4yo and 5yo girls - it would Disturb you greatly, and worry you a lot. You would fear yourself that you would harm them, but you also would have no where to turn. You tell your parents/friends you are likely to end up in a hospital for some "vigilante justice" - and that fear keeps you quiet. There is no outlet for this attraction, no way of dealing with it...There are many people like that, too many to number sadly, and if they don't find a safe outlet, or a way of handling this, they can go on to not only ruin their own lives (end up in jail), but unfortunately the lives of children too. It doesn't Have to be this way however, and that is one of the sole reasons tkGL was created. As a group of likely minded people, whose intent is to remain legal, and not harm children - fitting in when you are as alienated as a pedophile can feel, is something you desire to do more than anything. You want to feel a part of something. TkGL offers an outlet for these people to let out their thoughts, and feelings on this situation. As a heterosexual, ever wanted to tell your friends about a beautiful lady you saw the other day etc? Well, so do pedophiles. TkGL allows them that outlet to a degree, but also a firm hand in understanding how to handle such feelings. With this in mind, TkGL gives a pedophile the chance to accept themself and BE IN CONTROL. TkGL has members who are fathers of children and have no issues handling themselves around their children. TkGL has members who Were Abused as a child who have understood that "Pedophilia" isn't the problem - but the individual who harmed them.Children are not only in danger of sexual abuse from pedophiles. Non-pedophiles can sexually abuse children too (and infact, 9 out of every ten cases of sexual child abuse ARE commited by non-pedophiles). At the end of the day, its the self-control, its the handling, and its the support that makes one safe around a child.Don't say that this site isn't without its good points. You just can't.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I had quite a conversation with this person, asking him what he would do if any of his members actually commited a crime, and he became aware of it, he tried to tell me it would be too difficult to actually do anything? I pushed the issue, pointing out that with the technilogical age it was indeed possible to trace a person this way.

But all that aside, the fact is that places like this exist, I dare say that this is not the only site of this nature, so the question is this.
Are sites like this beneficial? Will they actually prevent these people from carrying out their fantasies? Bearing in mind that a large number of Paedophiles never commit an act against a child, would discussing it with people that just might have not feed the obsession rather than diminish it?
What is your opinion?

Abduction of Lesley Whittle - 21 years in prison

Neilson has always claimed that he did not intend to kill Lesley, and that she slipped, he also claimed that all the post office shootings were accidents.

The Lord Chief Justice set a 30-year minimum term for Neilson soon after his conviction, but successive Home Secretaries then imposed a whole life tariff. The Home Secretary was later stripped of his powers to set minimum terms in November, 2002, after a Law Lord's ruling relating to a case taken to the European Court of Human Rights, and therefore the original 30-year tariff was restored. This means that Neilson has been eligible for parole since July 2006. Details of his prison record, conduct and current location are firmly under wraps, but it is understood that the 70-year-old Neilson is in good health. He has made no application for parole.

Having spent nearly half his life in prison has this man served his time? In August of this year he’ll turn 71. Is he still a threat to society?

What do you think?

And in that searching I have found something that made me very uneasy.

Guns.
Now I have several books about guns, when you are going to write about people using them, then it is best that you get the lowdown to make sure you A) get all your facts right and dont get laughed at and look like an idiot.

Imagine, researching the web for more facts and actually finding that just by simply typing in the word 'guns' you are given a whole host of websites that not only tell you what you need to know about every type of weapon there is out there, but where you can also buy them!!!

There are guns of every type for every occasion, even guns that have matching Knives? And I can hear people saying, but its not that easy to actually buy one, well actually it apparently is!
There is far less red tape to get through than you imagine, and in some cases and on some websites (which I am not going to advertise) none whatsoever.

They tell you everything you need to know, they show you pictures, they show you and tell you, how to dissasemble and reassemble in a matter of minutes, they reccomend certain guns for certain things, it is a wannabe snipers paradise, it is the maniac gunmans heaven.
It is quite simply Frightening

 Comments

Lets Talk about....

Dogs, I thought that with the new or rather rehashed panic and debates about Dangerous Dogs that I would take a dip in to this topic.

We have on the one hand the people that condemn all dogs of certain breeds as dangerous, uncontrollable and unsuitable for pets.

On the other hand we have the animal rights activists and dog lovers associations telling us it is down to the owners of these animals and not the breed.

With the death of little Ellie Lawrenson on New Years Eve this topic, that never really goes away, is once again hung out to dry along with rehashings of tales of dangerous dog deeds.

Now I make no secret of the fact that I am a dog lover (All animals in fact, some of which you most decidedly would not have as pets) so some would say that this makes me biased, but, I am also a parent, which evens it out, I would no more put my child at risk than I would anyone elses.

So lets look at some facts, little known and generally known, as well as the Myths that surround these animals.

First we will start with the dog in the news right now, the Pit bull.
While we are all aware that this breed came into being purely for the purpose of fighting and hunting, like any other breed it can be tamed and can live as a pet. Not one I would want around children personally, but it has been proved that they can live in harmony with Humans. Many people own Pit Bulls, and have never had any problems with them. Though it is worth noting here that there are several breeds of Pit bull and only one of them outlawed.

Now this brings us to why can some live in harmony and others attack? Well the same question comes into play with any of the so called dangerous dog breeds, The German Shepard (Or Alsation) Rotweillar, Doberman and some of the smaller terrier type breeds. How come there are thousands of these dogs that live out their lives peacefully, protecting their owners and being the family pet? Many others are used as guard dogs, police dogs, and forces dogs.

So what makes one a killer and a thousand others soft as puppies and protective, giving their lives for that of their owners?

Ownership, purely and simply, that and the inner personality of the animal. As it doesn't necassarily follow that a Human that comes from bad parents will be bad, so it doesn't necassarily follow that just because these dogs were once bred as hunters and fighters that they will become just that. After all just about every breed of animal there is had ancestors that were wild and vicious, just as we did. And I know all about our brain being superior to that of animals (though at times I wonder) and that they cannot reason or think as we do (again I wonder) but they know the difference between being cosy and warm and being cold and hungry.

Dogs put up with a lot off Humans, they are beaten and starved by those that are supposed to love them, they are trained to do tricks so their owners can show them off. They put up with chasing balls, after all it keeps us Humans amused, and only ask for the occasional belly rub and a soft place to sleep and food and water, For that they will give us their undying devotion and if needed their life.

Occasionally they will turn, they will attack that which we hold dear, or even us, what causes this anomaly in an otherwise friendly animal?
If you are taught throughout your life to attack that which is weak and small, you will attack that which is weak and small, even if you have affection for it. If you have been beaten, and teased endlessly and cruelly, there will come a time when you will snap, or die! Or in the cases of Dogs sometimes both.

The Pit bull in question at the moment appears to have had the attack triggered by the fireworks and flashes and bangs of the celebrations, it is entirely possible that the dog had some form of epilepsy, this does not excuse the attack in any way. What it does do is raise the question of the owners responsibility towards an animal in their care.

Pit bulls, as with other ferocious looking dogs, are used as status symbols, look at me I have a feirce dog I am tough kind of thing. Owning an outlawed dog (And not all pit bulls are outlawed) is just another of those I am better than you trademarks that some people like to have. Is it not sad that an entire breed of dog will have to be slaughtered purely because some Humans are bloodthirsty and sadistic and still think they are living in caves?

 Comments

Dress it up to sell it or dodging responsibility, again?

It seems that the latest way to sell the idea of identity tags is to make them trendy, the latest accessory for the young female drinker is apparently the Tag Bracelet.
As shown here.

The tag, engraved with the contact details of the wearer's parent or a responsible friend, is worn on a bracelet decorated with silver beads and Swarovski crystals.

The tag can then be used by nightclub staff or emergency service workers if the wearer loses consciousness or is too drunk to remember her name.

The bracelets, which cost from £35 to £70, were designed by personal safety firm IdentifyMe, which began by making identity tags for young children who may wander away from parents.

Don Shenker, policy director of Alcohol Concern, said he feared the bracelets could lull young women into a false sense of security and send out the wrong message about binge drinking.

He said: "What concerns us is that young women may feel it is safe to drink alcohol to excess because they have their identity tag in case they lose consciousness or become incapable of speaking.

"We have heard anecdotal evidence, for example, of an aunt giving such a bracelet to her niece because the niece has a tendency to get drunk and lose consciousness. Giving a bracelet in those circumstances could be interpreted as an endorsement of that behaviour."

Nadine Lewis, Managing Director of IdentifyMe, denied encouraging binge drinking and said the bracelets could offer piece of mind to worried parents.

She said: "In no way are we encouraging young women to binge drink. However, we received a number of requests from customers for this type of product.

"It is a worrying sign that this sort of product is needed, but it seems that the trend for women to go out at the weekend and drink to excess is showing no sign of slowing down and we must do everything we can to keep them as safe as possible."

Whilst what they say may be true, and it could be the answer to the young girls that get drunk to the point of collapse, but isn't the real answer to teach them not to do that? Is this not just another example of people believing that it is alright for the young to go out binge drinking, as long as they are not taking drugs?

I am all for ID tags for the young to help find them if they go astray, but to be used because you believe that young one is going to end up out of it possibly in some strangers house, is it the correct message to send to our teens?

Sales themselves are not however the main topic here, it is what I and some of my friends have observed as a seemingly widening trend, children in high fashion outfits, the complete double of their mothers, and in some cases fathers.

Now I am not against children having name brand clothes, after all it is nice to be able to buy them that something a little bit more special. You do have to draw the line somewhere though, dont you?

Apparently not.

Seeing young girls in designer clothes, that looks just like mummies does not make me go Awwww! A nine year old in high heels and tight skirts, with hair and face done up to look like some kind of teen queen? Isnt this taking fashion that little bit too far?

I get that there are people that will think it looks cute, what I dont get, why would you put a child and at nine they are still children, in shoes with a high heel and pointed toes at a time when they are still developing, when they are still growing and forming? Way to go to ruin their feet.
Why would you put a child in an outfit designed for a grown woman? Way to give them a complex, or even worse to attract the unwanted attentions of people that like little children rather than grown women.

Surely a child of this age ( and younger by the way) should be out in jeans and trainers or boots enjoying their childhood, climbing trees, skipping and doing childly things, not being paraded like the latest accessory to mothers outfit!!

So who is at fault, the industry that supplies these things in child size, or the parents for wanting them?
